4 all at once...

TEETH I am speaking of! Yes, not 1, not 2, not even 3, but 4 teeth are coming through all at the same time....poor baby boy. He has been a good trooper through this round, however, supper consisted of an orange cool pop and a few homemade fries along with a yogurt smoothie. The last two nights he is ready for bed before 8pm and is out for the night by 8pm (nice for mommy and daddy) good, good rest he is getting not to mention his 2-2 1/2 hour naps! Almost 18 months old and 12 teeth! While at Walgreens I picked up some teething tablets, which he will be most excited about taking in the morning! Thankfully he LOVES to take his medicine so this round of teething hasn't been as bad as what it could be, but it is still painful.

Gusley, mommy feels your pain baby and at least the next set of teeth will not hurt like this. Love you, Dudie!

16th months

Gusley, today you are 16th months old and what a growing boy you are. Seems like you are learning more and more by the minute, hour, day.....you are just blossoming!!! Since we have been having nice weather we have been eating outside or playing outside until it is almost dark. June is the month to see fireflies and last night was the first time you pointed them out to me and daddy!! We were in so surprised because we have been showing them to you and now you are showing them to us ;-)! You are now sitting at the table in your booster chair and you love eating with us (although it is more of a mess after) it is so very special to have that one meal a day where we all eat together as a family. Daddy really enjoys this and it is a special time for you and him (monkey faces across the table to each other!!) You are beginning to be a little more vocal and are very active. You LOVE to be outside in the dirt, in your pool, climbing on your new toys, just OUTSIDE!! When we go out to play I always bring a drinkable yogurt at animal crackers for a snack. Once you have had enough you climb into one of the chairs and drink your yogurt and we chat over animal crackers and watch all the birds in the yard. I love these little moments with you.

In the last week or so we have been riding bikes everyday and you thoroughly enjoy this. Mommy puts you in the chariot and gives you some water and a toy and away we go. I have been telling you every time we walk "Up, Up, Up the hill" each time we go up hills and today we were riding and from behind me I hear you tell me "up, up, up". I was beaming with pride!! Mommy is really getting a workout pulling you behind the bike, but I really enjoy it and so do you. Lately, your toy of choice has been Elmo or your Sesame Street video camera! You have also been taking big AHHHH breaths as soon as you finish a sip of water, milk, juice....it is hilarious!! Daddy has had a great time sharing his cool pops with you, though you do not get much, you do get a taste!! Very cute to see you get that first cold bite! Yesterday we got ice cream to cool off and before I could get the lid off of mine you were trying to snatch it from me....I think you take after both grandpa's with your love for ice cream.

TOOTH COUNT....8 and holding!!

Gusley, daddy and I are so proud of you and just recently you have been exhibiting traits and qualities to make us say that one day you will make a great big brother, but for now we will enjoy you as our baby....how about for at least the next 5 years?? AT LEAST! I love you and happy 16th months to you my little peanut!!

Happy, Happy, Happy times!

I do not remember exactly when these were taken, but I would venture to say back in January....since Gus' teeth are barely showing through his gums in the second picture!! I think this was for the Inauguration Dinner we had with our dear friends to celebrate our new President!!

He and Endi just play so well together, they are such good little buddies!!

All I Want for Christmas is My TWO FRONT TEETH!!!

Looks like Gus will be asking Santa Claus for his TWO FRONT TEETH this year!!! The bottom two are very much out and beginning to bit, gnaw, etc......the top two are another story! NOTHING, nothing I tell you! Oh well, I am spared a few more weeks, possibly months of no biting while nursing!!

The other day we were in the car, and I still ride in the backseat with Gus, we were playing around and I kept asking him to show mommy his teeth and this is what I got!! Too sweet!

Nope, I will not show you my teeth.....but I will give you a great big smile!!

Okay, okay, I will show you my upper gums!!

There, how do you like that, there they are, my two bottom teeth and my two baby fingers going for the camera!!

Okay, one more time......here are the two bottom teeth!!

GUM breaking news!!!!!

Earlier today Jake told me he thought he saw a "hole" in Gusley's mouth. So we took a closer look and there was a tiny hole in the front center of his bottom gum. Tonight, right before we put him to sleep we felt around down there and it was a little prickly........his FIRST TOOTH has made its appearance!!! We are sooo excited as that seems to be the question of the day everyday from any and everyone..."How many teeth?" "Is he teething?", etc......now we can say 1 tooth and yep, the sleepless nights are due to teething!!!

I'll be sure to post a picture as soon as there is something to see!
