SWIMMING!!!

We have been taking Gus down to the pool since he was about 4 months. He absolutely loves it!! This was his face when we got in the gate and he saw the pool!!

He is such a water baby. When I took this one his legs were going in every direction and he was splishin' and a splashin'!

So excited!!

For some reason he LOVES to suck on the pillow part of his raft!! I think it may be an indicator that teething is upon us!!
We try to make it to the pool every afternoon when Jake gets off because it really tires the little man out and he knows when we get home it is cereal, bath, book (sometimes if he can make it!), nurse and bed!! Remember, this all takes place from the time Jake gets home 6:00 pm until bedtime 8:00-9:00pm!! What an evening for an almost 6 month old, but he loves every minute of it. And so do we!!

Bed Update

I almost forgot I was suppose to let you all know how our night went when we put Gusley in his own bed. Well here he is, in his bed fast asleep! This lasted for about 4 hours then he woke up around 1:00 am to the sound of his daddy snoring, so in our bed he came because there was no calming him down. I nursed him as fast asleep we both fell all snuggled together! We will try again in the very near future and I will be sure to update this here blog.

Cornbread Dressing Anyone?

Jake has been craving mom's homemade cornbread dressing since Christmas. Yesterday she revealed the secret and taught Jake how to make it. It was delish if I must say so myself!!

Chef in training....he could not take his eyes off of Jake as he cooked the dressing!

Taste test anyone?

The chef hard at work........

The cooking lesson was a total success and Daddy is always welcome to cook!!

Here goes nothing...

So, we have decided to create this blog as a way to keep our family in Louisiana updated with Gusley's milestones and all the fun and exciting times we are having here in Tennessee!

I have been scoping out other blogs and it doesn't look to be too difficult, but I'll let you know for sure in about a week, once I have had the chance to really fool with this!

Well, tonight we have decided that it is time for Gusley to sleep in his very OWN bed and not in the middle of ours! If there are no postings tomorrow then you know we had a sleepless night!!

Enjoy the postings and we hope to humor you along the way!!!
