Yesterday we found out that Sarah, Jake's sister and her husband are expecting!! She is due 09.18.11 ~ 2 months after me! We are 10 weeks apart so it will be fun for the little ones to grow up together, despite us being in 2 different states! Sarah, Buster, Camryn, Karlie, William and sweet Pete we are so happy for ya'll and can't wait to meet the baby! Congrats on the addition!
I am sure you are wondering why the title of this post is "A Bakers' Dozen".....well you see after the birth of these two babies, Gi-Gi and Paw will have "A Bakers' Dozen" in terms of grandchildren!! Wow, who thought 4 children could reproduce into 13 grandchildren?!!

Green Bay All the Way!
A few weeks ago we were watching football at mom and dad's house and Green Bay was playing and I was chanting "Green Bay All the Way!" This was of course, after the Saints had been beat and were out of the running. Gus really liked my chant and has been saying it several times a day ever since. Anytime there is a football game on he says, "Geen Bay All Way!" I guess we will be rooting for the Packers during the Superbowl! They have always been my runner-up team to the Saints so I am really looking forward to the Superbowl again this year!! And all the yummy food that comes along with Superbowl parties!!

Here we GROW again!
When I first found out I was pregnant, I started a second blog about the pregnancy and such. Here is the link. You will see that each week I post the baby compared to a piece of food (thanks to the bump). I saw this on a friend of mine's blog when she was pregnant and when I got pregnant I started getting their emails and found the comparison to be pretty realistic and figured I would do the same!
I hope you enjoy the new blog and come back for progress. I am going to try to write every few days as I am finally getting some energy back!

Daily discovery
There always seems to be some sort of discovery being made in this house. I guess that is just life with a little boy!! Today Gus and I changed sheets. When I moved his pillow to take the case off this is what I discovered..........

three rocks that I had found in some of my old belongings last weekend. I had put them aside and showed them to Gus and evidently he really took a liking to them! After his bed was remade, we had to put the rocks back under his pillow!

Houston, we have a problem!
This has been Gus' favorite cd for quite sometime. It has been to the beach, Louisiana, Kentucky, in the snow, upstairs, downstairs....you get the picture! The other day Gus came to me with the cd and said, "oh no!". I told him we would have to see about getting a new one or maybe daddy could make him a new one. He seemed to be ok with that for the moment and went back to playing. He walked bak in the room a few minutes late with a roll of duck tape and said, "mommy, fix dis, puweeze!". How could I resist such an innocent request so we taped it up but made sure tat he understood it was still broken and would not be able to go into the cd player. Thank goodness daddy was able to burn a new one once he was home from work!! We are back on tract with our Bob Marley marathons!!

Breaking News
This post is long overdue. I just can't seem to find the time to sit and blog these days. Perhaps it could have been the morning sickness, fatigue, a sinus infection, holiday travelling and being welcomed home with the stomach bug??!! Just a thought!
Anyway, I am pregnant and due in mid July!! We could not be happier and Gus seems to be understanding for the most part that there is a baby in mommy's tummy. He enjoys putting his head on my stomach and "listening" to the baby. This is usually what he does first thing in the morning after asking me if "daddy at work?" and "daddy home from work?"
Gus seems to be hitting some new milestones and developmentally he is really doing well. It is safe to say he is fully pottytrained, however, we put a "bad-ee" (his own word for diaper) on him at night "just in case". He has only woken up wet once or twice so I think we will be ditching the diapers in the near future! Yay for saving a few bucks a month!! He is also doing really well in his big boy bed. For the most part he stays in it all night. Usually he wakes up around 5 or so and we put him in bed with us so we can all get those last few minutes of sleep! This week he has been asleep before 9pm every night. We like that schedule and hope it sticks! Gus is just a talking up a storm and I love it. I love out conversations that we have throughout the day and I love to listen in on him playing with his toys. It is music to me ears! We are so thankful to have a happy and healthy little boy running around. He is my pride and joy and he really is a momma's boy and I am ok with that!!
In other news, I turned 15 weeks on Tuesday and last night when I was laying with Gus I thought I felt the baby move, but then convinced myself that it was too soon. Well tonight the same thing happened when I was laying with Gus so once he was asleep I got out the books and starting reading to see if it was too early....turns out not at all too early for your second pregnancy!! I just had to take a break from this post so that Jake could feel the baby moving around. We were able to see my stomach "jump" and "flutter"! It seems to be getting more and more real ad the days go by! I have to say that I love being pregnant and that it is everything I ever thought it would be plus some!!
Lastly, I made Olive Garden's Chicken Alfredo for supper tonight and it was damn good!!
I will try to get back in to posting more often, I promise, but for now, good night!!
