Trick or Treat??!!

I helped host a Halloween Party for our MOMS club...not sure if he is thinking about the Pumpkin Walk, Pin the tail on the Cat, or the Monster Mash......regardless he was out!!



It is only fitting that Gus is a chicken for his first Halloween, since my biggest craving while I was pregnant was Chick-fil-a chicken nuggets!!!

While we were in Houma we made several trips to Maw's house for a visit. Always an emotional visit, but at the same time a very heart warming visit. I guess it is the immense amount of love she has for all of us, but more so for Gusley since he is named after her father. These were just a few of the touching pictures Jake and I captured during our visits. Gusley really enjoys visiting with her and showing off all his new tricks!! Jake and I love to just sit back, sip on a can Coke and watch the love flow......this makes us very proud so be able to witness something so special.

While we are wishing happy birthdays....we would like to wish Aunt Bridgette a happy belated birthday back on October 10th!! We hope you had a great day and we are loving all the pictures you are posting with your new camera!!! Happy belated birthday, we love and miss you!!

And last, but not least, Andrea!! Happy Birthday Dupinator!! It was so great to see you while we were in town and that you were able to meet baby Gusley!! Hope you had a swell birthday as well!! We love and miss you too!!

Happy Birthday Gi-Gi!! I know we are a day late, but being sick has put the blog on the back burner lately!! We sure hope you had a wonderful birthday and wish we could have been there to celebrate with you!! Maybe next year you can come up here and celebrate and see the beautiful fall foliage!! Gentry's Farm - Pumpkin Patch!!!

Family Tradition.........Gentry's Farm and Pumpkin Patch. After being burned the day before at the corn maze, we decided to go to this farm that everyone has been raving about...Gentry's Farm. IT IS AWESOME!! We saw what all the hype is about. As opposed to the other one this one is $6.00 to get in and that includes a pumpkin patch, hayride, corn maze, activity center, indoor maze, petting zoo, pigeon coop and plenty of photo opportunities!! Needless to say we had a wonderful afternoon at the farm. Jake and I even got a t-shirt!!

Slurp, Slurp

After the corn maze we had dinner at one of favorite mexican restaurants. Gus was getting a little restless so we decided to try the ole water from the straw trick with him since none of his toys were doing the trick!! Well, he got it right away and LOVED it and did not want the game to end!!

The big thing up here at this time of year are "Corn Mazes". We, being new to the area and having never been to a corn maze decided to give it a shot. Not at all what I had in mind. First we were charged $6.00 or $7.00 per adult to walk through a corn field that had been cut in the form of the planets, galaxies, etc....and when you get to a Planet there is a blurb about it. That was it just a field and a few pumpkins outside of the gate. Now we know what that is all about!!

Earache or not Louisiana here we come!!!

Gus has not been the "No fuss Gus" that he usually is the last few days so we took him in to the doctor today and he weighs 21 pounds even and has an ear infection in his right ear. Doc said should be fine since it is his first one. He and daddy are tucked in as I type this (I am suppose to be packing, but have some cute pictures to post before I can pack). Hopefully he will have a good rest and be on the road to Louisiana and recovery by day break!!!

Stairmaster 2008

10.08.08 - We have all been waiting for this day to come and yesterday was the day!! Gus noticed the stairs and figured out how to get up the first one and turn himself around and sit on them and he also figured out how to grab and hold the curtain for a little more stability! Boy do we have our hands full now...this weekend is more babyproofing!!



He shimmied to the wall and stood himself up and was so proud, hence his face!!
