O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree......

The Sunday after Thanksgiving we headed to the local tree farm being run by the Boy Scouts to get our Christmas Tree. It was cold and we knew what we wanted so we went straight to that section and found the perfect tree in a matter of 2 minutes, I kid you not!!!! It took longer for them to take it down than it did for us to pick it out. Gus really enjoyed himself at the farm. He went from tree to tree pulling on the price tags.

No Mommy, let's get this one too!!

Or maybe this one?

Our nice light display! Thank you, Jake!
Next year he will go all Clark Griswold on us...stay tuned!!
As a side note to all our friends back home, do you remember how the people on Prevost Drive used to decorate/light up? (they may still do it, but it has been a while since I have seen it) Well rest assured that we feel like we are right back down there! The street around the bend from us is ALL lit up! I will post pictures for y'all to see!!

Trying to get a picture of Gus in front of our tree...this is a two person job and I was attempting it alone!

I don't think he cared to much for Buttercup's Christmas collar...what do you think?

We are really looking forward to Christmas this year! It is going to be so much fun for all of us!

Master of the Stairs??

Someone got really big for his britches really quick...I'm talking overnight quick! Tonight after bath time, Gus gave Jake kisses and let Jake tell him his nightly 'secret' and he was headed to his room. I was literally 3 steps behind him and he was 1/3 of the way up there! He is so proud of himself when he accomplishes something, as he should be! He climbed the stairs one foot per stair all the way up and he climb up the side with no hand railing...what a big boy!! Gus, you make mommy and daddy so proud! Thank you for fulfilling our lives with such joy!

Look at me Mommy....on my way to bed, like a big boy!

Taking a quick break!

I am afraid one day really soon he is going to be sliding down these stairs!

This is what P R O U D looks like.....

It's a bird, it's a plane, nope it's a hot air balloon!!!

This is a little back blogging. A few weeks ago, Gus and I were coming home from Mom and Dad's house and this is what we saw. I decided to follow it because it was really low and looked like they were going to be landing it in the neighborhood and that they did!!!

About to touch down.....

Almost there.....

Touchdown is made!! After seeing this Jake and I have decided that maybe for our 30th birthday we will take a ride in one!! Stay tuned to see if we actually go through with it (we only have 3 years to contemplate)!!

Later that day Endi came over to spend a little time with Gus. They haven't seen each other as much since Endi started school so when they do get together there is lots to catch up on!! I just love this picture, both in their boots and Gus is trying to convince Endi to put her drink down and play!!!!

Sidewalk chalk and black pants...................

Dog Enforcer

Lately Gus decides when and how many treats Buttercup gets! She seems to like the new enforcer as he gives her treats for just about anything and sometime she gets several at a time!! Here is Gus holding the bucket of treats hostage.....

And here he is nice and comfortable in Buttercup's toy box! Role reversal?? Nah, just having a little bit of fun on a raining day!!!

Washing, washing, washing his hair!!

Daddy and Gus all clean!!

Under the weather.....

Today is Friday the 13th....for the most part I am not superstitious, I just hope for the best on Friday the 13th's! That is what I did as this day approached.....at 12:50am Jake and I woke up to a very sick baby. I will leave it at that. Gus needed to sleep sitting up so I slept the remainder of the night holding him in the chair. Thankfully we were able to get an appointment with his doctor before the weekend. Gus was a little apprehensive, but we manage to survive the visit and get out with a diagnosis of an ear infection in his right ear, and a viral infection that is causing him to have a runny nose that is dripping into his chest causing the croupy cough. We feel so bad for him, but his little voice is raspy and cute at the same time.

Though you may not be able to tell by these pictures, but Gus was running fever, has an ear infection and a croupy cough.

Having breakfast in the big red chair like a bog boy!!! Biscuit and Fruit Loops seem to be his favorite this week!!

Sweet baby boy reading Hickory Dickory Dock in the laundry basket!!

Not feeling so hot, but still managed to muster up a smile for mommy!! I love this child!

Well we are hoping for a better night tonight!! Gusley, tomorrow you will be 21 months old.... I can't believe how loving and genuine you are these days!! I love you and the sweet little boy that you have become!!
