Lollipop, Lollipop, Ohhhh Sollipop!

Gus has found a new love.....lollipops or as he calls them - SOLLI-POPS! He knows that when we go to the bank they give out "sollipops". We went today after hours and he was a little bothered that he did not get one. Thankfully Walgreens is right next door so we headed over to get a lollipop since he had been a good boy! You would know that as soon as we walked in there was a lollipop display....not quite as elaborate as this picture, but in his eyes I am sure it was! He chose the BIGGEST, REDDEST lollipop! There was no changing his mind on this matter. So we checked out and headed home with the world's larger than any 2 year old's mouth sollipop. I do believe it will take him several months if not years to get to the stick of this thing...if it doesn't make it to the trash before then!!

Holdin on tight

A few weeks ago we went camping and took Gus for his first canoe ride. We made sure to reinforce that he would have to "hold on tight" while getting in and out of the canoe and while we were riding. He really took to our directions! So much so that "holding on tight" can be heard at least 10 times a day some days!! Whether we are picking him up or putting him down or if he is climbing into his seat for a meal he makes sure to tell us that he is holding on tight and it is just the cutest thing! Oh Gusley, I love you so much and it is days like this that bring tears to my eyes knowing that you are growing up and growing up fast! I love you and keep holding on tight!!

I like to ride my TRICYCLE!!

Pun-kins, umm not so much!

Last year we took Gus to a small pumpkin patch that is run by a local Boy Scouts troop in the area. The boys grow their pumpkins and then sell them to make money for their troop. Last year we found some really nice pumpkins and it was not overly crowded so we figured we would give it a go again this year. We call our pals to come join us and off we went. This first picture of Gus sums up the pumpkin patch.....pumpkins rotting and covered in stink bug looking insects is what we were greeted with!! We decided to get a few pictures of the kids since the sky was just beautiful and call it a scratch. Gus and Endi were so excited about the "pun-kins", but neither wanted anything to do with these pun-kins!! Hopefully next weekend we can see some nice plump pumpkins!!!

Sneak peek of date night

Tonight Jake and I went to Cheekwood Botanical Gardens to see the Chihuly exhibit. We got there while it was still daylight so we checked out the grounds and the exhibits and once it got dark we went around again. It is just incredible what this man has done with glass. I would love one of each in my garden but with a small serving bowl being priced at a few grand, I don't think that is happening anytime soon!!

On our way out the place was packed and there was a line to get a wristband and an even longer line to park your car. We both agreed that we got there at the perfect time.

And for dinner we headed over to The Cheesecake Factory.....OMG is all I can say!!! I am stuffed and feel as though I may suffocate from consuming the Ultimate Red Velvet Cheesecake!! Yummy is all I can say right now, yummy!!

Enjoy the few pics......more to come! Thanks Mom and Dad for keeping Gus!
