Pajama Playdate

Amanda and I had planned to take Gus and Endi to an evening story time at the library about a month or so ago...we went, but there were lots and lots of kids there and Gus and Endi were almost the youngest there besides a few infants whose older siblings were there. We decided that we would take them to the nearby park to play instead and they had lots of fun!!

At story time in daddy's lap! He was sitting in the beginning, but who know how long that would have lasted!!

At the park for a nice evening of play!!

One of my favorites!

Percy Warner Park

These were taken about a month or so ago. Jake and I took Gusley for a picinic at our favorite quiet spot in Percy Warner Park and he enjoyed playing with the big rocks. We really had a nice day and I will let the pictures tell the story of our day!

Bunnies!!!!!!

Last Saturday, we saw where a local toy shop had announced that the "Bunnies are here"!! We decided to bring Gus to take a gander at the bunnies!! He loved them!! He has a serious love for animals at just 13 months old. As soon as he saw them he took a big gasp (which he does any time he sees our cats or any other four legged animal!)!! It was very sweet. The bunny pin was very nice, just tall enough for him to see over!! We did a little Easter shopping while there, the bunny just couldn't pass up a few items:-)!!!

The bunny pin and a few of the bunnies!!

Close up of the sweet bunnies!!

Gus getting a good look at the bunnies!!!

Happy Birthday Nanny!

Happy Birthday Nanny!! We hope you have a great birthday and are glad we got to celebrate with you!! I think Gus really enjoyed helping with the candles!! Here is a picture of the birthday girl making her wish and Gus reaching for the cake!!! Which, by the way Pinki, the cake was delicious as always!! For those of you wondering just how old she turned....since there are three candles on the cake and it appears to say 551, well she is only 54, but we did not have a "4" so 5-1=4!!!!

Happy Birthday Nanny, we love you!

Last day of Winter.....

Well, finally the last day of winter is here!! The day before these pictures were taken, we were in shorts, but today we had to re-evaluate the wardrobe and dress accordingly!! We went our for a walk then played outside for a bit just to enjoy the weather!!! (Note...this was last week 03.19.09)

SPRING TIME IS HERE!!!!!

All smiles for Spring!!!!

Doing his thing.....it is so nice these days to sit back and watch as Gus plays with his toys and "talks" to them as if they will talk back....which sometimes they do with the help of Mommy!!!!

I think we are starting to see the beginning signs of a baby mullet!! It's only appropriate for where we live....4 miles down the road from Billy Ray Cyrus!!

1st Skinned Knee

As the saying goes, "boys will be boys" held true at our house last Wednesday!! Gusley was have a great time outside pushing his lion down the sidewalk when the lion started going much faster than his little feet and he just could not bear to let go of his lion so he went down with him....which leads to the picture.........

He was such a good little trooper when it happened, I have to say I was proud of him. I have honestly been waiting for this day and it was not at all what I had been imagining, thank goodness!!! In the above picture it was like he was posing his bo-bo...he sort of popped his knee out for me to get this picture. What a big boy you are Gusley Norman! We are so proud of you and love you so much. Mommy wishes you would never have to skin your knee again, but unfortunately, this is the first of many! Love you!!

Radnor Lake State Park

This past Sunday was very overcast, but we felt that we needed to get out since we were stuck indoors the entire week before due to an awful stomach virus that plagued the ENTIRE house. I swear, it is a good thing animals do not catch human ailments because that would have been the living end!! Anyway, we headed out to this lake that we had happened upon one day and have been wanting to go back and take the hike. Radnor Lake is where we went. For Gusley's birthday one of his gifts from us was the piggy backer, so we decided to break it in. For his first time in it he did very well. He made it to the lake, about .30 miles then he was over it and wanted Momma to carry him. In his defense it was nap time and he had been sick and was used to Momma being right there for his every whimper! We stopped for a nursing break and that seemed to have done the trick long enough to get back to the car. On our hike back to the car we saw 21 deer on the trail. One was about eight feet in front of us and I did not even see it until Jake grabbed me to show me!!! Mommy mode had kicked in and my motive was to get the baby to the car......he spotted the deer and was cooing and gooing and ahhing at them. He loves animals and nature. It was so sweet when he realized that his voice would echo, then he was just a babbling away!! Gusley, we are so proud of you and the little person you are becoming. Mommy and Daddy love you so much that no words can begin to describe our love and feelings for you!! Keep on rockin in the free world, because the real world is not all that it is often cracked up to be!

Here we go....piggy backing with Daddy!

He immediately spit the nunie out and found a love for trees and tree bark!

Giddy from nature??

Two of a kind!

Me, leading the way!! Actually, just following the brown bark trail!!

Absolutely beautiful!

Family picture take 3, but we are all in it!

The boys took the lead!!

The first of the 21 deer....we saw a total of 26 by the end of the day....5 more on our ride home!

Radnor Lake

Deer Number.....I don't even know!

Gusley enthralled by the deer!

WE'RE MOVIN ON UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are super stoked to let everyone know that we have found a house!!!! We will be moving out of the "loft" in the coming weeks!! Our new abode has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a bonus room and a garage!! We have plenty of room for all our friends and family to come visit (no excuses people)!! Of course, we cannot house all of you at the same time, but we would love to accommodate everyone at some point!! We were so excited when we went to check it out that we forgot to take pictures of the inside, so I will post those once we are in!! The anticipation will just have to linger a little longer!!!!!

Happy Belated St. Patrick's Day!!

I know, I know, I am two days late wishing everyone a "Happy St. Patrick's Day"! We were all caught up in the festivities that I am just getting to it! No one got pinched, we all wore GREEN!! We had a nice Irish dinner with our friends to celebrate. Ate lots of green food and had some Guinness and Ginger Ale!!

I am so lucky to have such a cute little leprechaun!!!
