Baby update

I went to the midwives on Thursday and all is well with baby sister!! I am measuring exactly 36 weeks, my blood pressure was perfect, baby sister's heart rate was healthy as the midwife put it and she is head down! Crossing our fingers and toes that she stays that way! I now go once a week until delivery! Gus and mom were at this appointment with me and he gets so excited to see hear the baby's heartbeat. Next week, I will try to video his little face while he listens. It just beams with pure happiness and joy and his little eyes light up like the midwife would be holding a 15 pound bag of m&m's in front of him!

Such an exciting but nervous time....where will I be if/when my water breaks, will it be during the night, while Jake is at work, while we are out and about, etc. There are so many unknowns in the equation, but that is what childbirth is all about so I am just going to roll with it and what will be will be! I have a wonderful partner to help me through the rough patches and to tell me I can do this when I feel like I can't and my parents have been amazing by helping as much as they can with Gus! It is a win win situation for them and for Jake and I...they get to spend one on one time with him, he loves it at their house and we get to rest just a little before baby sister arrives and things get really crazy for awhile!

Summertime

This is what it is all about!!!

Waiting on a baby? Maybe!!

We have the nursery almost 100% complete. Just need to hang a few more pictures and then it will be all ready for baby sister!! Gus was so excited to see his old bed being used for his sister that he immediately climbed on in and made himself comfy!!




So very comfy that he almost fell asleep! Here he is faking but he was that close to dreamland when I took the picture!!
